If My people...

Dear brothers and sisters and fellow Americans,

I'm writing to you from a heart that is heavy for our nation.

Do we take our freedoms for granted? Freedom of speech, freedom from want, freedom from fear and most importantly our freedom to worship God openly and proclaim the life that He gives? Do we realize that these freedoms are being threatened? Do we care? Do we realize that this next election is quite possibly the most critical election in the history of the United States of America? Do we know that there are people who want to see America fall into the hands of those who hate all that we stand for?

That's a lot of questions, I know. But I pray that you would take time to prayerfully ponder them. And here's the biggy: What are you going to do about it?

This is not the time for Americans who value their freedoms to be complacent or passive in even the slightest way. Now is the time when we must boldly stand up. And may I say that by "stand up" I mean fall flat on our faces before a Holy God; before the One who gave us these freedoms and who calls us to stand up for them. So I'm asking you, no, begging you to act. I'm begging you to get informed about the candidates running for office, especially for the office of President. I'm begging you to prayerfully make your decisions. And I beg you to realize that God will judge this world, including America, it's leaders, and those who vote for them.

2 Chronicles 7:14 says this: if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

I know we hear that verse a lot. But what if we actually did what it says? What if we go a step further and set aside a specific time each day that we will commit to pray specifically for our nation, its future leaders, and the process of establishing those leaders? Will you join me between 7 and 9pm each night until November 4th in humbly seeking God's face? Whether it's around the dinner table, at your bed-side, as a small group or individually, will you commit to this? Once you begin praying please write in and comment on this blog so that others can see how God is working through this commitment to pray. Lastly, would you please copy/paste this following message into an email and send it to all of your contacts? Let's get the word out. Let's actually do what God calls us to do and let's anticipate all He will do in return. Please send this message to your emailing list:

Dear fellow Americans,

Will you join me in lifting up our nation, this coming election, and the process of selecting our future leaders in prayer? Each day between 7pm and 9pm from now until November 4th believers across America will be seeking the face of God on behalf of our nation, on behalf of our leaders, and on behalf of this election. Please join in this call to action, and let's anticipate all that God will do.

Thank you.

I look forward to what God is going to do through this for His glory.

Celebrating our freedom...

I had the privilege of singing our National Anthem at the Palin rally last Thursday evening. It was awesome to proclaim my freedom with nearly 10,000 other Americans! The rally was held at the Chaifetz Arena on the SLU campus. -Kaleb

Rocking out, unplugged, rallies...

Hey friends and family,

My band and I have had a very busy last couple of weeks. Here's a brief recap:

We battled the rain and rocked out before the Toby Mac concert at SixFlags! Our next concert was down at Canaan Baptist Church doing what we love to do: ministering to students and inspiring them to live lives of faith in the midst of a dark world. That following Saturday we greatly enjoyed ministering at South County Baptist Church for their missions emphasis weekend. Daniel and I did some acoustic concerts including a worship night at Christ United Methodist Church in Fair View Heights, Ill. It was an incredible evening of prayer and hearltfelt worship. I also did a couple of other unplugged concerts at Temple Baptist Church, and Warrenton Community. Both were amazing nights of worship; it was an incredible thing to literally see and feel the Lord working for His Kingdom and His glory! Praise God!!

Here are a few pictures that summarize the past few weeks: enjoy!

Shhhh!

There's a lot of sleeping going on around here...my band and I are touring in Alabama this weekend so we had to leave pretty early. Since I'm one of the only ones awake at the moment, I thought I would snap a few pics! (I'm going to pay for this later!) lol

Even though it may not look like it, we're very excited for what God has in store for us this weekend! Please pray for lives to be touched and souls to be saved! See you soon.

Greetings from Estes Park!

Ok, so I'm sitting here totally in awe of God! As I scan the mountain-painted horizon all around me and rock out to my favorite artists on itunes I wanted to attempt to capture this moment. SO, I spun my mac around and snapped a couple of pics via the icam; enjoy! You know I'm thinking we all tend to have a very limited view of who God is. What a shame! I pray we would not be satisfied with our picture of, or walk with, this God "...who by his strength established the mountains..." Psalm 65:6. Well, I'm off to an artist teaching concert with MercyMe.

In awe of The Father,
Kaleb

ZOE

Three nights of incredible worship...

The past three nights have been Hot Summer Nights at ZOE: the youth ministry of West County Community Church. It was an incredible experience night after night as we led these passionate students into the throne room of God.

Thank you God for who You are, and for how You manifested Yourself to these students and to me over the past three nights!

Take me out to the ball game...

I've been asked to sing God Bless America before the Cardinal's game this coming Saturday at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. It should be a great Christian Family Day as we celebrate God's love, and worship Him together! I also get the privilege of hanging out with Casting Crowns in their box during the game. I'm very excited to see what God is going to do! Please pray that even as I sing the familiar words of God Bless America, God would use me as His witness. May He be glorified!

America...

I just got back from celebrating with my family swimming, four-wheeling, and, of course shooting off fireworks on Grandpa's farm.

As we celebrate our freedom let us first bow in worship to The One who has shed His grace on our country. And let us pray and live in such a way that will turn this nation back to Jesus Christ; before it's too late.

I love my country, and I'm so thankful for those who founded this nation on the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am also indebted to those who have paid (and are paying) for our freedom with their lives. To all who call America their home, and consider our freedom a blessing, this is for you:

You heard them pray we seek you Lord
You watched them write those fateful words
And now we see our greatness, blessings from Your hand
And lord I thank You, there were those who chose to stand

For…

One Nation Under God, how can we be
One Nation Under God, until we see
Blessed is the nation, whose God is the Lord
One Nation Under God forevermore

Their lives they chose to sacrifice
Press on to freedom, pay freedom’s price
Yet with the battles won, so much was gained
Discerning hearts would labor on in order to maintain

One Nation Under God, How can we be
One Nation Under God, until we see
Blessed is the nation, whose God is the Lord
One Nation Under God forevermore

Have we forgotten, the One who has delivered
We are mistaken to let this bond be severed
Time has brought new battles, we must not wait
When America ceases to be good, she ceases to be great

One Nation Under God, humble us to be
One Nation Under God, until we see
Blessed is the nation, whose God is the Lord
One Nation Under God…

-One Nation Under God written by Kaleb Krueger

May we praise God for His grace and pray for revival as we celebrate our nation's freedom. Happy 4th of July everyone!

Rise and Shine at Concord, Six Flags, and Warrenton...

A recap of a very busy few days last week:
We started on Wednesday with a Rise and Shine concert at Concord Baptist Church in St. Louis. It was a blessing to minister to our brothers and sisters there and to meet all of you afterward! On Friday we played at Six Flags over St. Louis and shared many songs from Rise and Shine as well as others. There were rumors of a huge storm heading our way so we kept our eyes to the skies. At the first sign of lightning we loaded up and just after leaving the park the rain came and the floods rose! Saturday we headed up to Warrenton Community Church for a block party they were hosting for the community. Unlike the night before, the sun was shining brightly and we definitely drank our share of water and Kool-aid! To close out the week we had an awesome night of worship at my church, First Baptist of Ellisville. It was an electrifying evening of true worship as God's children poured out their hearts to Him.

It was a blessed week, and I'm so thankful for all that God did. To Him be the glory!

Thank you all for coming out! See you soon!

In Christ,
Kaleb

Two nights, One purpose...

The message was clear, "And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed." -Romans 13:11. We recently had the privilege of sharing this message at two Rise and Shine concerts. The first one was held at FBC Washington,

the second, a week later at FBC Ellisville. It was so awesome to see God work in people's lives at these events.

The strong challenge to "unite together in faith, and take a stand for Christ" was clear throughout the night. About midway through, we transitioned from a "concert" into an engaging time of worship. Some 30 minutes later, as the music began to fade, we turned our minds and hearts back to the main theme of the evening with the song Calm Before the Storm. Following that song, I did something I had never done before. I asked the audience to split up into small groups for prayer. They could pray individually, as a family, or even find someone they didn't know to pray with. I encouraged them to lift each other up, and to pray for our nation as a whole. It was then, I believe, that the message began to sink in. I pray that we would see the need for believers to arise. But even more so, the need for worshippers to arise; believers who are willing to not just come to church on Sunday, but live lives of worship before God and man every day of their lives.

I praise God for the many ways He impacted lives through the message of Rise and Shine.

In Christ,
Kaleb

The Cross

Friends and family,

As believers, I think we all-too-often forget the amazing work that was completed on the cross. Yet, the cross is the one essential element to who we are as believers! As Jesus' torn body was hanging there, suffering bodily pain that we couldn't even imagine, He was enduring something that no one else could: a pain that far-surpassed anything that could be done to the body. The weight of every sin that would ever be committed, every one -from the most heinous crime that has ever been announced on public television, to the deepest, darkest evil thought ever to enter the human mind- every one of these sins was upon Jesus Christ while he was on the cross. Just before the death of the Savior of the world, God's only Son, Jesus spoke from the cross these three words of victory: "IT IS FINISHED". And at that moment, the great, insurmountable wall of separation that stood between the perfection of a Holy God and the depraved, sin-stained human race, was shattered. The door was thrown open, and God's amazing plan of salvation for the world was complete! The grave could not hold our Savior; He conquered death and lives to make intercession for His children. The invitation is open. Have you asked Jesus to be Lord of your life?

Believer, let's not fall into the tragedy of forgetting the power of what happened at the cross.
The cross is our hope, our strength, our life, and our salvation! That is why we sing...

" Mercy there was great, and grace was free, pardon there was multiplied to me, there my burden soul found liberty, at Calvary."

Richard Hight, and a chapel to remember...

This past week was our Spring Lecture Series at Mobap. We were greatly blessed to have Artist/Sculptor Richard Hight bring the messages through word and art. The last day of the series, Thursday, SpiritWing led the worship and Bro. Hight asked if I would bring the invitation. I had planned on one, possibly two songs for the invitation, depending on how The Spirit led. I have to say I don't know if anyone was expecting what was about to happen. As Bro. Hight spoke, the presence of The Almighty filled that place. That day, the gospel was presented in one of the most powerful ways I have ever experienced and when it came time for the invitation, what was originally going to be a song or two turned into an extended time of worship that lasted almost twenty minutes! God worked mightily and people's lives were changed. It was a tremendous blessing to be able to share in this time.

Their love for our Savior and level of musical talent is amazing and I appreciate all that they do. Here is a pic from a recent concert!
